Who We Are

Hi, I'm Hunter, owner and founder of Locked In Canine LLC. Originally from Illinois, my love for animals began with two Italian Greyhounds I grew up with. Today I share Home with my partner, Helena, our twelve-year-old Chihuahua Poodle, Cacao, and our young cat, Hero.

After serving in the Marine Corps and then studying psychology and ecology, it was the sudden loss of my Husky Kai to cancer that completely changed my path. This heartbreaking experience sparked a deep passion to truly understand dog behavior and training. I apprenticed under head trainer Kristi at Nexus K9, where I spent a year and a half building balanced training techniques while working with all kinds of dogs.

Now I'm bringing everything I've learned to Locked In Canine. Today, I'm building strong, trusting relationships with my clients and their dogs.

I'm here to help you and your dog get truly locked in through clear communication, mutual respect, and practical, balanced training.

Personal Philosophy

Goals are realized through intention, focus, and authenticity. I wish to communicate honestly and clearly with myself and those around me; the way I do the small things is the way I do all things.
